The Sand Springs Community Theatre was
officially established in May of 2007 after receiving a grant
through the city of Sand Springs. The original committee consisted
of only a handful of dedicated people who envisioned dramatic arts
as a key component in the growth and renewal of our city. We wanted
to provide an outlet for our community members to literally “play a
part” in this exciting endeavor. We became incorporated June 26th,
2008 and began production. Our first official meeting was held in
July 2007. As we planned our seasons for August 2007 – July 2008,
we also began the task of becoming a 501-C3 nonprofit company.
Since those humble beginnings, we have successfully produced and/or
hosted nine theater events including a well-received Children's
Theater Workshop production, and we have been granted our 501-C3
status as of Spring, 2009.

- We are looking
forward to another great season of theater in Sand Springs. Our
09-10 season will include four season ticket productions (see
our Home Page for details). We are also planning some “out of
the box” events to be announced next spring, so check our
website later for information. WE ARE ALSO IN A NEW LOCATION!
SSCT will now be operating out of the Charles Page High School
Performing Arts Center located at Park and Adams Road in Sand
Springs.

- With one phenomenal year behind us, we
are a bit awe-struck over the success of SSCT and The Page Players.
We have established a strong base of support and are excited to be a
part of the progressive future of Sand Springs. We have great
visions for the arts in our area.

- Sand Springs Community Theater is
committed to developing a company which is respectfully dedicated to
the exploration and celebration of the performing arts. Our company
will strive to appeal to the entire community by catering to all
ranges of age and ability to provide positive interaction among our
citizens. This cultural connection through the medium of theatre
arts should strive to educate, inform, and entertain, as we seek to
stimulate progressive and cooperative development in our community
of Sand Springs.
Thank you for your support of the dramatic arts through Sand Springs
Community Theatre!
